Hello friends,

In a week I will have been married 6 months. There are so many things that have happened that I figured I would make an update post.

Since August 4th, Joey and I have moved from our apartment. We decided to move in with Joey’s sister. We did not even get fully unpacked from the move into the apartment before we had to pack up. In the move, we lost all of our address information for our wedding as well as the list of those who we needed to send thank you cards to. We have searched and searched but I think some of the people who helped us move may have thrown it away by accident. This is our public apology and thank you to all of the people who helped us out. Your gifts, blessings, advice, date ideas, and most of all love have been crucial to us having an amazing first 6 months of marriage. We also want to let all of you know what is going on in our life.

As I mentioned, we decided to move out of the apartment. We made this move as it was $200-300 cheaper than our old place and a lot bigger. We now live in a 2 bedroom home with a furnished basement. Our sister even let us have the top floor as she reconstructed the basement for her (p.s. it looks AMAZING). We have a bedroom, office, giant living room space, kitchen, a backyard, and best of all my sister and her DOGGO!!!!! Yes, I live with a dog again ♡♡

As for work, Joey works at a Christian bookstore named Lifeway. He works between 15-25 hours a week. Right now it is the slow season and he is getting less hours, so he is looking for a more stable job that also has more hours (preferably full-time). As for me, I am a toddler teacher at a daycare. I work 40 hours a week with 11 children between the ages of 1 1/2 and 2 1/2. I have a co-teacher in whom I plan out our curriculum.

Our favorite things to do include:

– Hanging out with our best friends

– Going to the movie theater to watch new movies

– Watching movies on the movie Lizt (a list of classic movies that I have not seen)

– Talking about random things such as the pig from Secondhand Lions that I named Hal…

– Virtual Reality games

Some random things that have happened since we got married include:

-I became obsessed with professional mermaids and bought a tail

-I am practicing calligraphy with an actual dip pen

-I have become obsessed with coffee again…

-We got a new computer (both of our old ones were slowly dieing)

Some goals we have for the next 5 years include:

-Paying off all debt (On January 1st, we started with $51,100.13. We now have $50600.20) I know it seems like we haven’t paid off a ton but gotta start somewhere right?

-Get a newer car (Joey’s car is the same age as Joey… 30 years old)

-Go to Leavenworth for our 1st anniversary

-Go to Disneyworld and Universal Studios for our 5th anniversary

-Start saving for a down payment on a house

-Get a youth pastoral position

-Start saving for retirement

-Look into foster care

-Get a dog of our own ( an Australian Shepherd ♡♡)

-Be happy and love our friends and family well
